Hint Oscillator
The Hint Oscillator is a tool utilized to analyze trends on charts and determine momentum in the financial markets. It allows for the identification of whether bullish or bearish forces are currently dominant.
Defined:
- Momentum: the impetus gained by a moving object
- Bullish force: A bull market is a market that is on the rise and where the conditions of the economy are generally favorable.
- Bearish force: A bear market exists in an economy that is receding and where most stocks are declining in value.
The Oscillator can be divided into 3 parts:
- Above 0
- Below 0
- Equal to 0
The Hint Oscillator utilizes a bar chart representation to indicate the current momentum in the market.
- Bars above the Zero line indicate bullish momentum
- Bars below the Zero line indicate bearish momentum
- Neutral momentum is indicated by Bars that are located at the Zero line.
The color of the bars provides further insight into market conditions:
- Green bars indicating an increase in bullish momentum
- Red bars indicating a increase in Bearish momentum.
